For decades the term placebo has meant imagination. Placebo was a nuisance and necessitated some other explanation for why healing occurred. In recent times, neuroscientists have discovered that placebo can mean the brain/mind has the ability to create measurable physiological changes.

This workshop discusses the most recent studies on brain/mind healing. Researchers have known that hypnosis is a powerful tool to help an individual change focus of attention, sensations, and create an atmosphere for healing. Milton Erickson’s approach to hypnosis utilized suggestion to tap into, unlock, and release unconscious resources for healing. This 2-day workshop will explore how hypnosis triggers the healing response.
